Production opportunities
Glued laminated timber beams or GLULAM are manufactured by IKTK ltd. accordance to LVS EN 14080:2013 standard. Spruce (Picea Abies L.) and pine (Pinus Sylvestris L.) timber dried up to 10+/-2% is used as a raw material. When using impregnated raw materials, moisture can be up to 18% for the end product.
Our machines allows manufacturing both straight and C or S-typed curved
solid beams.
The maximum height of a solid glulam beam is 2.3 meters.
The maximum length of a solid glulam beam is 32 meters.
The most popular dimensional
combinations of glued beams are given in the table below. Beams can be
manufactured also with other dimensions.
There are 2 types of glued beams:
- Standard glued timber beam STD
- Block-glued beam BLOCK
The table shows strength classes and specific values of strength, stiffness properties and density for homogeneous and combined Glulam beams manufactured in accordance with LVS EN 14080:2013.
